Anita Zucker Jewish Early Childhood Education Scholarship

This extraordinary scholarship will provide $20,000 per year for three years of undergraduate study and clinical field work and student teaching experiences as part of the AAQEP accredited, NYS Educator Preparation Program at Stern College for Women. Your acceptance to this program is predicated on your commitment to early childhood education, your academic record, and your dispositions towards the education of young children. 

Candidates interested in applying for Anita Zucker Early Childhood Scholarship should indicate their interest in Early Childhood Jewish Education on their application to Stern College for Women and complete the supplemental essay prompt: Why do you want to major in Early Childhood Education at Stern College for Women? Eligible candidates will be contacted for a brief virtual interview. NYSED Initial Certification Program

PROGRAM BENEFITS

  • Students are certified and ready for employment after graduation, and equipped to pursue their master鈥檚 degree
  • Hands-on experience through clinical fieldwork & student teaching
  • Cohort model and support from professors, supervisors, cooperating teachers, and peers
  • Methods and elective courses which complement the growth and development of effective and impactful early childhood educators

WHERE TO START?

EDUC 2130 Foundations of Early Childhood: Introductory Seminar and 25 hours of Fieldwork in local public and Jewish day schools under supervision and guidance of a Cooperating Teacher of Record

Grants of $20,000 per year to motivated Stern College
students pursuing a career in early childhood Jewish education.
