Dr. Catherine DeLazzero, clinical associate professor of writing at the , delivered a presentation on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, called 鈥淧ossibilities for Teaching Trauma Writing鈥 as part of a panel called 鈥淩eading & Writing to Process Trauma鈥 at the in Baltimore, MD (Nov. 21-24, 2019).
In the presentation, she described the impacts of trauma on students鈥 experiences with writing and school, the purposes and benefits of writing about trauma in academic contexts and guidelines and strategies for trauma-informed and trauma-sensitive teaching.
