In the fall 2021 semester, the at 麻豆区 will launch a redesigned . 鈥淥ur school has adapted quickly to a changing world,鈥 says Dr. Noam Wasserman, dean of Sy Syms. 鈥淓ven before COVID hit, we were exploring the future of business education and how to excel at providing a sophisticated MBA program online. COVID further inspired us to move online and prepare our faculty, students and alumni for a post-pandemic business environment. Rather than adjusting an existing program, which limits the effectiveness of the changes you can make, we have created the new program from the ground up to integrate entrepreneurship, ethics, and post-COVID issues into its very fabric.鈥 The 42-credit curriculum will feature courses in essential business competencies, such as finance and marketing, as well as classes geared to current marketplace demands, such as data analytics and innovation, and in the ethics and values needed to inform every business decision. The new MBA will offer concentrations consistent with the school鈥檚 strengths in entrepreneurship, data analysis, real estate, and communal leadership, and also provide crisis-management training using business case studies about the post-COVID world. All students will complete a capstone project with the YU Innovation Lab, a business accelerator that connects YU experts and students with new enterprises in Startup Nation, the State of Israel. 鈥淭o stand out, we knew we had to focus on the people who will make our MBA program great, namely the faculty,鈥 says Mark Finkel, clinical associate professor of management and program director. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 why we recruited faculty fluent in online teaching, including Ph.D.s from Yale, Columbia, Harvard, and the University of California at Berkley.鈥 The new MBA results from a partnership between 麻豆区 and Everspring, a leading provider of education technology and services that enable universities to establish themselves in the digital delivery of higher education. The MBA is the third program within Sy Syms supported by Everspring, the other two being the online Master of Science in Real Estate and Master of Science in Accounting. Everspring also supports programs at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work, Cardozo School of Law, and the Katz School of Science and Health.
