On Feb. 10, 2020, over 50 Wurzweiler students, field supervisors and alumni gathered at 麻豆区鈥檚 Jerusalem campus for a networking and professional development event. Opening remarks were provided by Nechama Munk, Director of the MSW Program in Israel.
Dr. Danielle Wozniak, Dorothy and David I. Schachne Dean of the , discussed developments at Wurzweiler and announced a new partnership with Eleos Health, a digital mental health startup helping therapists to improve treatment outcomes using voice analysis technology. Wurzweiler and Eleos will be partnering to bring this technology into the classroom and field placement sites in the future.
A lecture was then provided by Dr. David Ribner, certified sex therapist and supervisor, on 鈥淭he Importance of Addressing Intimacy in Therapy.鈥 In his lecture, Dr. Ribner provided participants with the opportunity to learn how to initiate conversations about sex and sexuality with their clients.
He also described the foundations of assessment and treatment in his role as founder and chairman of the Sex Therapy Training Program at the School of Social Work, Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan Israel.
