On Monday, April 25, 2022, Wurzweiler School of Social Work inducted 32 new members, across cohorts, into the Tau Epsilon chapter of Phi Alpha, the Social Work National Honors Society.
Those being honored were surrounded by faculty, administration, staff, peers and family during an interactive virtual ceremony into this esteemed organization.
These individuals have achieved excellence in scholarship and service and embrace the standards of the Social Work profession. Kaylee Andrusier, MSW student, provided an induction speech about her clinical internship experience and impact as a member of Phi Alpha. Interim Dean Dr. Ronnie Glassman discussed the value of service in our profession as it relates to academic achievement and the commitment of the society’s work in the field.
The purpose of Phi Alpha Honor Society is to provide a closer bond among students of social work and promote humanitarian goals and ideas. Phi Alpha fosters high standards of education for social workers and invites into membership those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work.
Phi Alpha promotes bonds among students, humanitarian goal and ideals, grands, awards and scholarships, and training.
